Trailer Talk: REACH ME (2014)
I love it when I come across these little gems. With a massively ensemble cast, take a look at this seemingly inspiring movie, with, thus far, some amazing one-liners.
REACH ME seems like a CRASH-style story with different characters in different segments all being connected by one plot device, which in this case is a book written by an unknown author, that’s inspiring and changing lives. The recluse authors, played by Tom Berenger is being sought out by Kevin Connolly of ENTOURAGE fame, who has been assigned to do so by Sylvester Stallone, who looks like he’s playing a hot shot Hollywood News/PR guy. The Trailer is narrated with by musician Nelly whose words, the words of the book seem to be inspiring many characters from different walks of life, which include a Mobster, a prison inmate, a lover and a murderous cop. Sure, the dialogues seem cheesy and contrived, but it’s got amazing potential.
The movie has a huge ensemble cast that includes epic veterans like Sylvester Stallone, Kyra Sedgwick, Tome Sizemore, Danny Aiello, David O’Hara, along with others like Lauren Cohen from THE WALKING DEAD, Thomas Jane, Cary Elwes, Danny Trejo… and a quick glance at the IMDB Page for the film reveals so many more recognizable faces. How much significance or screen time they’ll get is suspect, given the film is only listed as being 95 minutes long… but it’s still an amazing line up.
REACH ME is out October 24th, 2014.
