Trailer Talk: MAY 2015
The summer movie season kicks off in May 2015 as Trailer Talk takes a look at all the movies of this upcoming spring! With one of the most amazing comic book films kicking off the month, the rest of the month looks just as good with comedies, action entertainers, critical films with amazing performances and commercially mind blowing remakes! Let me know afterwards which movie you’re gonna be checking out in theatres, some of them you can even buy tickets from right here. So let’s take a look at the trailers of all the films releasing in May 2015!
AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON (May 1st 2015)
Is there really anything i need to say about this? It’s Marvel’s 2nd part of their Cinematic Universe with their team-up movie. The excitement for this film may be a little anti climactic given that there is also ready so much more hype about the movies to come after this one. But Joss Whedon’s last Marvel movie (for now) is definitely my most awaited.
FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD (May 1st, 2015)
Another boring victorian era story of an independent woman who still seems to need men to define her life. 3 men to specific.
WELCOME TO ME (May 1st, 2015)
Kristen Wiig continues her assault on awesome critically acclaimed performances and this one seems no different. It look awkwardly & funny as hell, and just uncomfortably hilarious. Which is of course great-ness in the making!
FAR FROM MEN (May 1st, 2015)
Viggo Mortennsen in a french speaking movie? Yep, and he looks amazing in this. Mortensen is amazing in being reluctantly violent and deadly, and he does it well here. While it doesn’t feel riveting, sure it’s interesting enough to warrant a watch.
RIDE (May 1st, 2015)
The most interesting thing about this is seeing Helen Hunt on screen again, especially in a film she directed. Hunt still has the same squinty presense as before, but this one seems like a miss.
HOT PURSUIT (May 8th, 2015)
It’s not a secret that I find lowest denominator comedies to be irritating. And this one doesn’t seem to offer much to change my mind. Reese Witherspoon dumbing it down whole Sofia Vergara does the same as every role isn’t really my cup of tea.

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD (May 15th, 2015)
The original director of a decades ago franchise returning for a reboot/sequel with a new cast for a new generation. This promises to be a mindless action movie which is completely fine. And the more I see the trailer, the more I feel like it’s got a subtle spark of genius behind all the visuals and action scenes.

PITCH PERFECT 2 (May 15th, 2015)
While I haven’t seen the original, this trailer is full of witty and smart one liners and jokes that I am a big fan of. And Anna Kendrick is always amazing. Only thing turning me off is all that singing nonsense.
TOMORROWLAND (May 22nd, 2015)
I am so looking forward to this. It’s rare that we get a full blown science fiction fantasy adventure film that looks family friendly as well and has the backing of someone like George Clooney. It’s exciting for all the right reasons and looks incredibly awe-mazing!

SPY (May 22nd, 2015)
I find this the least offending comedy on this month’s releases. Melissa McCarthy is warming up to me and I can say that I find her pleasantly tolerable in this trailer.

SAN ANDREAS (May 29th, 2015)
Oh Rock, how mediocre the movies you make are. Do we really need another disaster movie? People stuck in an apocalyptic world is SO 2012!

ALOHA (May 29th, 2015)
So you cram in this many amazing people in the one movie directed by an amazing director and how can it be anything less than terrific? The trailer is delightfully great and I just hope that everyone gets to do their part in a satifying way because the only thing wrong with this is the actors not getting enough screen time!
So which is your most awaited movie of May 2015? Let me know in the comments below.

It’s all about Mad Max for me but I might give Spy and Aloha a look.

‘Aloha’ looks pretty awesome. Similar to a new generation ‘Jerry Maguire’.
I’m revisiting the original ‘Mad Max’ franchise before I do the new one.
Thanks for the comment Abbi.
