Trailer Talk: MARCH 2016 – Animals, Princes, Monsters & Superheroes!

Published by Shah Shahid on

After a long time, I am able to check out all the trailers for the month of March 2016, and see which movies I am the most interested in. Check them all out below, and let me know which movies you’re most excited for this month.

ZOOTOPIA (March 4th, 2016)

Currently sitting pretty with a 99% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, ‘Zootopia‘ seems to be blowing people’s mind with a message of tolerance and diversity. The Disney movie about a world populated by animals of all kinds living in peace, seems to have come out of no where with intense buzz and interest by all who have seen it thus far. While the movie originally looked like it was going to be another weekend watch with the wee kiddies, it has now become something worth checking out for all audiences.

10 CLOVERFIELD LANE (March 11th, 2016)

After the surprise that ‘Cloverfield‘ was, the apparent sequel or spin off to that movie is ‘10 Cloverfield Lane‘. Without any buzz or any prior knowledge, the trailer for the movie starring John Goodman came out of nowhere and took almost everyone by surprise. It’s interesting as hell and the Trailer does a beautiful job of getting us all interested without revealing anything at all about the story. Knowing it has something to do with ‘Cloverfield‘, where monsters took over the world, makes this movie one of the more interesting movies to be waiting on this month.

THE LITTLE PRINCE (March 11th, 2016)

This, looks simply amazing. A genuinely innovative movie with a story that is beautiful and heart warming. The Trailer conveys a very real sense of emotional growth, imaginative storytelling and a depth that transcends childhood and adulthood. It’s looks to be on of the few films these days that aren’t superheroes or dramatic adventure, but a brilliant look at growing up. Very excited to watch this one with the kids.

We witness this month, the unprecedented feat of kicking of a shared movie universe with one movie, that features almost every major character that will be populating that universe. Directed by Zack Snyder, featuring the holy trinity of DC Comics characters, ‘Dawn Of Justice‘ is the sequel to ‘Man Of Steel‘ that pits two legendary heroes against each other, in a world where larger threats loom in the background, taking advantage of their enmity.

This is the first time that live action versions of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman will grace the screen together. There is a lot riding on this movie as it sets up multiple films in the coming years like solo Wonder Woman, Batman, Aquaman and Flash films, along with the Justice League movie. All eyes on BVS!

What did I miss? Which movie in March are you most looking forward to?
